What does Parent Association do?
There are actually two meetings each month at North Haven School. North Haven School Council and the North Haven Parent Association both consist of volunteer parents, school administration and teacher representatives.
School councils exist to advise the principal and the Board of Trustees on school matters. Parent societies/associations are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for school programs and equipment that would otherwise not be funded.
Without the Parent Association’s fundraising efforts, many of the programs enjoyed by our children would not be available or would be delivered at an additional cost to parents.

All parents and guardians of North Haven students are welcome to attend meetings. Attending the meetings (once a month) is a great way to volunteer with no commitment required. Help make decisions as to what fundraisers the school does, what residencies the parent association pays for, keep informed about what is happening at the school, connect with staff and other parents and more!
